Free Appliance Collection

We offer free collection on selected metal appliances in our main collection area, mainly Brighton to Peacehaven.

We may also offer free collection further out, including Worthing, Henfield and surrounding areas, when we already have paid clearance work nearby.

Free collection depends on location, access, item type and availability.

Items That Are Not Free

Some items have disposal costs and cannot be collected for free, including:

Freezers

TVs

Monitors/screens

Gas bottles/cylinders

Non-metal or mixed waste items

These items can still be collected, but they will be quoted separately.

Most white goods and metal appliances contain valuable recyclable materials such as steel, aluminium, copper and electrical components. Once collected, these items are taken to licensed recycling facilities where they are separated, processed and reused in the manufacturing of new products.

By recycling appliances correctly, valuable materials can be recovered instead of ending up in landfill, helping reduce waste and environmental impact.

Items such as fridge freezers require specialist handling due to the gases and cooling systems inside them, which is why they have separate disposal charges and must be processed differently from standard metal appliances.
